PERTH YOGA INSTRUCTOR WINS SILVER AT COMMONWEALTH GAMES

Bannatyne Health Club Perth staff and members are celebrating the remarkable achievement of Emma McCready, a yoga instructor at the health club, who won a silver medal for Team Wales in the weightlifting category at the recent Commonwealth Games held in India.

Competing in the 81kg category, Emma managed an awe-inspiring performance on her international debut, breaking three Welsh records and securing a well-deserved spot on the podium.

During her outstanding lifting, Emma showcased her exceptional talent and determination, making a significant impact on the world stage. Her efforts led her to a personal best Snatch of 93kg and at Clean & Jerk an impressive 111kg, culminating in the record-breaking performance that earned her the prestigious silver medal.

Emma said: "I am absolutely over the moon to have placed in the competition, the hard work put in every day leading up to it has paid off."

Aron Spence, general manager of Bannatyne Health Club in Perth, praised Emma's dedication and skill, saying: "Emma has consistently shown exceptional skill, discipline, and commitment to her craft.
